Brentford Community Stadium - Brentford, London

We have been working with Brentford Football Club for a number of years to develop a strategy which would enable the Club to remain within the Borough whilst securing the long-term sustainability of the Club.

Our involvement culminated in the preparation and coordination of a hybrid planning application (accompanied by a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment) to facilitate the relocation of Brentford Football Club to a new community stadium at Lionel Road South. The proposals include a 20,000 capacity stadium, 910 residential units, a hotel and retail/other uses. Working with the Local Planning Authority via a Planning Performance Agreement, the planning application was reported to a special meeting of the Planing Committee at Hounslow at the beginning of December 2013. In front of a gallery filled with nearly 1,000 Brentford FC supporters, the Councillors endorsed the favourable Officer’s recommendation and resolved to grant planning permission subject to agreement of an extensive Section 106 Agreement. Throughout the determination process, we have remained committed to working with local stakeholders and consultees such as the GLA, TfL and English Heritage to ensure that the scheme can deliver very significant community and economic benefits within Brentford and across the Borough and West London as a whole.
