Acting on behalf of the landowner, the Carter Jonas Development team in Winchester advised on the sale of the property for redevelopment purposes.
The site, which measures approximately 0.54 hectares (1.34 acres) was offered for sale in 2016 through an informal tender to a select number of development companies. Following a lengthy planning process, consent was granted towards the end of 2018 by the local authority for eleven dwellings, without a single objection.
The original instruction followed a probate valuation by Carter Jonas, which identified that the site had development potential and that the likely capital receipt from redevelopment would supersede any sale as a standalone residential unit.
