The existing school has been replaced, with part of the funding provided by the proceeds of residential development on two remedial sites, each of which contain historic school buildings - known as Wormestall and Luker.
Our architects achieved a difficult planning consent for the conversion of both the above landmark school buildings - together with a large element of new-build residential accommodation.
Using vernacular materials in a crisp modern manner the scheme provides around 84 new residential dwellings across two premium locations at the edge of Newbury town centre providing much needed new housing in a sustainable urban location.
