Carter Jonas’s proposals will transform the former Sun Chemical factory site into a residential-led mixed-use redevelopment. The 2 hectare area will accommodate 212 residential homes; a 90 bed care home; crèche and small offices set around open amenity spaces and a pocket park.

The plans submitted to Hertfordshire Council combine contemporary urban design with public realm integration and sustainability. The residential accommodation is designed to comply with Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and the commercial properties to achieve BREEAM very good.
