Formerly the home of Sterling Cables Ltd and Newbury Town Gas Company, this existing industrial site is highly contaminated and remains a pocket of under utilised commercial use within a predominately residential area.
Our scheme is a high density solution in order to mitigate the site constraints, but also to create a sense of place and identity to a scheme that would be unique in this market town location. The design gradually builds up from 3 storeys to a single taller element of 7 storeys, and comprised of a combination of materials that include brick, render and timber cladding.
The scheme benefits from a semi-basement car park located below a central communal landscaped garden.
